A Uniform School System

A Uniform School system

As population is increasing in our country more and more, school are being established but you must have heard that increase in quantity is equal to decrease in quality. But in my opinion, quality education is the right of ever children in pour country.

Those public schools which provide quality education do demand a high sum of fee and as we know that average people living in Pakistan either belong to middle class or lower who cannot afford their children quality education they need.

More over, now a days economy is failing due to which poor people are forcing their children to leave their school to bring home money and fulfill their requirements and earn their livelihood. This method could be good for them meanwhile, but it might be regarded as the destruction of the assest of our country. This all might end up increasing crime rate in our country.

One greater problem in our country are village people, who believe in outdated traditions of sending their children to medrassa. Most of the peole send their children away from their regular schools in the name of religionwhich is very saecastic. What so ever, now lets talk about the education inside the schools.

In our country, except the public schools which take resonable fee provide less qaulity education and rest are studying those books that are 50 years old. Just not that education in different provinces is not similar, in Punjab the education in school till secondary is free and if we compare the schools of Balochishtan, the children study under trees with no proper teaching equipments.

In the end i would like to say that if we need a beeter country our school system should be strong and uniform.

POVERTY

POVERTY

Poverty may focus on material needs, typically including the necessities of daily living, such as food, clothing, shelter, or safe drinking water. Poverty in this sense may be understood as a condition in which a person or community is lacking in the basic needs for a minimum standard of well-being and life, particularly as a result of a persistent lack of income.

Analysis of social aspects of poverty links conditions of scarcity to aspects of the distribution of resources and power in a society and recognizes that poverty may be a function of the diminished "capability" of people to live the kinds of lives they value. The social aspects of poverty may include lack of access to information, education, health care, or political power. Poverty may also be understood as an aspect of unequal social status and inequitable social relationships, experienced as social exclusion, dependency, and diminished capacity to participate, or to develop meaningful connections with other people in society.

Poverty in Pakistan is a growing concern. Although the middle-class has grown in Pakistan, nearly one-quarter of the population is classified poor. The declining trend in poverty as seen in the country during the 1970s and 1980s was reversed in the 1990s by poor federal policies and rampant corruption. The government of Pakistan with help from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has prepared an Interim Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper that suggests guidelines to reduce poverty in the country. According to the World Bank, the program has had tangible success, with the World Bank stating that poverty has fallen by 5 percent since 2000. As of 2006, Pakistan's Human Development Index (HDI) is slightly higher than that of nearby Bangladesh, which was formerly a part of the country itself. Pakistan's HDI still stands lower than that of neighboring India.

There are so many causes due to which poverty in Pakistan worsened i.e. the gender discriminatory practices in Pakistani society also shape the distribution of poverty in the country. Traditional gender roles in Pakistan define the woman's place as in the home and not in the workplace, and define the man as the breadwinner. Consequently, the society invests far less in women than men. Women in Pakistan suffer from poverty of opportunities throughout their lives. Female literacy in Pakistan is less as compared to Male literacy. Moreover, Female labour rates in Pakistan are exceptionally low. Similarly, Environmental problems in Pakistan, such as erosion, use of agro-chemicals, deforestation etc. contributes to rising poverty in Pakistan. The increase in poverty rate is also caused due to an adequate lack of governance. For example, corruption and political instabilities such as various separatist movements in Balochistan and Waziristan resulted in reduction of business confidence, deterioration of economic growth, reduced public expenditure, poor delivery of public services, and undermining of the rule of law. The perceived security threat on the border with India has dominated Pakistan's culture and has led to the domination of military in politics, excessive spending on defense at the expense of social sectors, and the erosion of law and order. Another cause of rise in poverty rate is the feudalism in Pakistan. Pakistan is home to a large feudal landholding system where landholding families hold thousands of acres and do little work on the agriculture themselves.

To overcome the constant rise in poverty, government along with its people should concentrate on improving provincial resource management capacity for better efficiency of human development investments i.e. females should be given equal rights in any organization; financing incremental services (new teachers, textbooks, medicines, etc.); improving quality of primary education by supporting changes in governance structures and institutions; promoting public-private/civil society partnerships in order to devolve service responsibilities to local governments; and improving municipal services in order to devolve municipal functions to local governments, with particular focus on services for the poor.

Computer Is Like My Girl Friend !

Computer Is Like My Girl Friend!

Nowadays young men like me have a great trend of keeping girl friends, talking with them for hours, sharing their thoughts, and entertaining their selves.

This is not the case with me. In my world computer plays the role of girl friend. I share my thoughts with it by typing, whenever I feel myself bored, I can get entertained with it, and share my time and even life with it.

Computer is my best girlfriend that I can ever have in my life. Unlike the ‘lady’ girlfriends it never gets bored, never fights, it follows whatever I command. Common guys get crazy if they don’t talk with their girlfriends. I get crazy when I get separated from my computer. I am addicted to it quite similar to my friends getting addicted to talking with their girlfriends.

People give gifts to their girlfriends. I give my computer regular gifts like new RAM, high speed processor and upgrade it as much as possible.

I just love my computer so much that I don’t feel like having any lady girlfriend as the desire of having girlfriend is already fulfilled by my computer.

“An Unforgettable Incident Of My Life”

Some times the incidents that occur in our lives leave traces of their mere existence in our minds and as time passes by; although they are buried deep in our minds of infinite memories sometimes only a similar trace of that memory brings back that once buried memory on the surface of our minds.

The incident starts off when I was leaving for my home. It was one of those days when nothing in the world could have gone wrong and I and my friend, Rameez, unaware of the unknown that lied before us, went on joking about the happenings of the day. We also placed a bet that whoever reaches home first will pay for lunch for the next day in college.

As the college got over, we went outside and had some fun with other friends. After boasting about our bets we all started leaving for home. We headed towards our cars and left the college parking area. As soon we came outside the college, my friend tried to overtake me. I accelerated and sped up my ride. Once the car had gained its momentum, I tried over taking my opponent without any consideration of the traffic laws. My eyes were fixed on the roads and my mind transfixed on somehow over taking my worthy challenger.

We were on the roads of Defence from where we headed towards Zamzama streets where my friend finally was able to overtake me because of the horse-cart which came in front of my car and I could not switch to the other lane. Once again, I accelerated my car and sped after his car and at the signal, we stopped near each other. During the wait, my instinct warned me that I should get over this crazy idea of racing. But I shook that warning of my mind when my friend lowered the window of his car and made some irksome noise which provoked me to go on with the racing; I got carried away, intermittently accelerating the car to get jazzy. This time I had the lead of over three cars and tried to lengthen the distance but when I saw the red signal ahead, I lost the hope of taking the lead so I not to stop on that signal, a blunder I still regret.. I should have stopped my car but I was so excited at the thought of winning that I didn’t realize what I have been doing. The moment I crossed the signal, I saw the car coming up from the left side which made me hit the brakes immediately.

Unfortunately, the speed of the car was enough to skid and bash into the other car coming from left. The incident seemed to take place in a matter of seconds but the wait in the car lying as a dead man seemed to last for a life time. After a few stupefied seconds, the realization struck me as I felt that I can move my hand now. I tried getting out of the car for which I had to consume all the remaining energy in my body. As I got out of the car, the first thing I noticed was the person standing next to his car which now looked like as if someone had made a vain effort of recycling it.

The next thing I focused was my car which now was a complete wreck. Next I saw my friend who was now pale and shocked and looked as if he was going to faint any moment. He gave me anxious look. Before we could even talk about anything, I felt the hands of someone holding my back collar. When I turned around, I was much more nervous by looking at an extremely angry face of the driver. He started yelling at me and profusely swearing at me in the open public.

I was still stupefied by the entire incident so I didn’t make any movement and allowed the driver to shout at the top of his voice. After few seconds, when I realized what was going on, I started apologizing and quickly made up an excuse that I was being chased by a couple of robbers so I couldn’t afford to stop. The only fear in my mind was of the police case that could be made by him but somehow, I managed to convince him and took the responsibility of paying for all his damages. But the man turned out to be very understanding and decent so he let me go without paying for any damages since he assured me that his car insured. After that I got my car towed away and dropped it at a garage, at then same time mentally preparing myself to break the news to my parents who I knew will be horrified to hear about the almost life taking accident.

So, this was one strand of the many memories that is never going to whither away as long as I live. It was one of the experiences from which I learned that being over smart and showy can sometimes land you into trouble.

"Earth quakes"

Earth is the most fundamental ingredient of the universe. From the time of creation of the universe these earthquakes are the part of our universe and especially for our earth. These earthquakes causes huge destructions. From the modern technologies now we can study that what are the causes of these earthquakes.

In the beginning of the universe our earth was nothing but hot molten mixtures of different metals. But with the passage of time, this hot mixture cold down and our universe was created. As more time spend this hot molten metals (or lava) further reduced to temperature and formed solid crust which makes the lands, valleys, mountain etc, but the interior of the earth is still like hot molten metal as it existed in the conditions billions of years ago. These hot molten metals always tries to come out from the earth for which it always found the weaker part of the earth crust. Molten metals found in the particular area applies pressure in that part of the crust. In this action and reaction, lot of force is involved which results the earth to shake, and hence it causes earthquakes.

The second reason for the earthquakes is due to Plate Tectonics. The earth's crust consists of a number of sections or plates that float on the molten rock of the mantle. These plates move by currents caused by heat rising from the molten crust. When these plates are also

Effects or disasters by earthquakes are very astonishing. Earthquakes kills hundreds of peoples, topple down the houses of hundreds of people and sometimes on larger scale, it can completely finish the entire city. The most destructive earthquake was observed in the Nealum valley at Muzaffarabad, Pakistan. It was occurred on October 8, 2005. The magnitude scale read about 7.6, which can be considered as most horrible earthquake ever occured in any part of Pakistan.

About 4 million people became homeless. It was thought that as many as 73,000 people might have died and another 1,400 in Kashmir. The whole mountainside sheared off during the earthquake. Most of the school building came down on the little children which were in their classrooms at that time of the day. Two major hospitals were badly damaged. Kwala was a remote village where all the houses had been destroyed. In Chela Bandi, Muzzaffarabad, a girl’s school was in ruins. Around 150 girls were killed in that building.
